Awards
MARIDV has awarded the following students with a prize of £100 to spend on research related activities:
The Best Abstract Award was granted to Anne Baar from Utrecht University for her work entitled "Influence of bedforms on the transverse bed slope effect"
The Best Poster Award was granted to Knut Krämer from MARUM - Bremen University for his work entitled "Field measurements of small scale bedform dynamics in tidal environments in the German Bight"
The Best Presentation Award was granted to Connor McCarron from Bangor University for his work entitled "Sediment transport and bedform morphodynamics in sand-gravel mixtures"
Congratulations to these three students!
MARIDV has also offered student travel grants to six young scientists. Students travelling within Europe have been awarded funds of £200, and students travelling from outside Europe have been granted £500.
In addition to their contribution to the scientific conference, these students will write a brief report on their experience at MARIDV.
